DUI Defense
Fighting Drunk Driving Charges
If you have been charged with driving under the influence (DUI), you have a choice to make. Will you plead guilty or will you fight the charges? Sometimes people think that pleading guilty is the fastest, easiest way to make the problem go away. However, a DUI conviction carries stiff penalties. Before you accept the charges, it is important to speak with an experienced defense lawyer.
The attorneys at
Gasaway, Farmer & Associates, PLLC know how to fight DUI charges. We will challenge the state's case against you and examine all of the evidence. Our goal is to get the charges against you reduced or dismissed. To make an appointment, please call

How We Can Help
Determining the validity of your arrest and the evidence is one of the most critical parts of a drunk driving defense. Breathalyzer tests, blood tests and field sobriety tests must be carefully reviewed. If the tests have been handled incorrectly, we may be able to get the results suppressed or dismissed. We will look at the timing of the tests as well as the qualifications of the person who administered them.
We can work with investigators and medical experts to help us build a strong case on your behalf.
Consequences of a DUI Conviction
In Tennessee, even a first DUI offense may require that you have an ignition interlock device installed on your vehicle, making it inoperable unless you prove by breathalyzer that you are not under the influence of alcohol. You will also pay fines and have your license revoked for one year; you may even have to serve time in jail.
The consequences for multiple DUI convictions are far more serious. You can be charged with DUI and child endangerment if pulled over while a child under 13 is in the vehicle.
We also defend people charged with vehicular assault and vehicular homicide.
