An Experienced Military Law Attorney Working for You
The Federal Tort Claims Act (FTCA) gives individuals the right to sue the United States government for issues such as medical malpractice and personal injury. If you are injured during active duty or while on a military base, you may be able to file a suit under the FTCA. We can represent military personnel and their families from any U.S. military post around the world in FTCA suits.
Military law is very specialized. Please call our Clarksville, Tennessee, office at 931-245-0077 for an appointment.
Federal Torts and Military Health Problems
One of our most notable cases involved Camp Lejeune Marine Corps Base in North Carolina where polluted water caused health problems for pregnant mothers and children. Until 1985, the base had underground storage tanks for petroleum products which leaked chemicals into the drinking water supply. The substances found in the water, Trichloroethylene (TCE) and Perchloroethylene (PCE), are blamed for birth defects in some children born on the base from the 1950s through 1985.
Other federal torts we have handled include medical malpractice cases involving an infant who suffered brain damage at the army hospital at Fort Campbell. We also handle other types of personal injuries that occur in the military and on base.
Additional Military Cases
Our attorneys handle many cases at nearby Fort Campbell. We can represent you in a court martial or a disciplinary hearing. We also represent military personnel or civilians accused of committing a
crime on a military post in Magistrate's Court.
We also handle cases involving claims under the:
- Military Claims Act
- Personnel Claims Act
- USARCS (U.S. Army Claims Service)
- AR (Army Regulations)
- AFI (Air Force Instructions)
